The Tax Agent Services Regulations 2009 expire on 1 April 2022 and will be replaced by Tax Agent Services Regulations 2022 (TASR 2022).  

The regulations include, among others, the registration requirements for tax and BAS agents, details of registered tax and BAS agents to be included on the public register, and the requirements for professional associations to become accredited as a recognised tax or BAS agent association. 

While the operation of the regulations remains unchanged, some minor technical changes have been made in TASR 2022 to reflect the current legislative drafting practices.
