We congratulate Michael O'Neill on his appointment to the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC), where he will support the Commission’s regulatory and governance functions in a new role as ‘Specialist Adviser, Regulatory’ from 24 November 2025. 

Michael has served as CEO Secretary of the TPB since August 2018, playing an important role administering significant reform and transformation. His 7-year tenure was marked by a strong commitment to integrity, transparency, and public trust, values that remain central to our purpose.

During his tenure, the TPB has undergone significant transformation, strengthened our internal culture and evolved into an effective and modern regulator. His leadership has been pivotal in shaping the TPB into a focused, responsive agency that delivers on its mandate with integrity and professionalism.

We are pleased to confirm Janette Luu, TPB Assistant Secretary, will act as Secretary pending further arrangements.
