Information available to the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) indicates you may have used the services of Jessa Van Stroe (also known as Jessa Layola), to lodge your income tax return(s).

Jessa Van Stroe is not and never has been a registered tax agent with the TPB. On 23 August 2021, the Federal Court of Australia issued an injunction banning her from charging clients a fee or receiving a reward to lodge their income tax returns.

The purpose of the TPB is to ensure that tax services are provided to the public in accordance with appropriate standards of professional and ethical conduct. We ensure that registered tax agents have the right skills, experience, and insurance to prepare and lodge your income tax return. Only tax agents registered with the TPB can legally charge you a fee to lodge your income tax return.

A registered tax agent should never ask for your myGov details. If you have shared your myGov account details with anyone else then your personal and financial information is at risk and we recommend changing your password immediately.
