Don’t forget to renew your registration on time!
If your registration is due for renewal this year, don’t forget that you still need to submit your registration renewal application to us on time.
This is not to be confused with your annual declaration. Due to the impacts of COVID-19, we’ve temporarily waived the requirement for some tax practitioners to complete an annual declaration if it’s due on or before 31 December 2020.
You must submit your renewal application at least 30 days before your registration expires. You will remain registered until a decision is made on your application. If your application is approved, your registration will be renewed for at least three years.
If however, you fail to submit your registration renewal application on time, your registration will expire. Once your registration expires, you can’t provide tax agent, BAS or tax (financial) advice services for a fee or other reward. You will also lose access to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) online services for agents.
You can contact us to discuss any difficulties with lodging your registration renewal on time and we’ll work with you to make appropriate arrangements.
